Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Flying over the country with the Himalayas you will enjoy the drastic view from your flight and land at Tribhuvan International Airport. Depending upon your flight time, our Airport representative will pick you up from the Airport terminal and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Then we will introduce you to your guide and they will give you a short briefing about the tour. After the introduction, you can stroll around the city or you can either rest in the hotel and be ready for the next day sightseeing of the whole city. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu sightseeing

Today, we will explore the capital city of Kathmandu. Kathmandu is rich in ancient art, architecture, culture, and tradition. The city is also known as the city of temples. So, we will visit various heritage sites in Kathmandu which are listed on the UNESCO cultural heritage list. We will start our sightseeing tour from Pashupatinath, one of the sacred places for Hinduism.

Pashupatinath is one of the major temples for Hindus all over the world where Lord Shiva is worshipped. The pagoda-style temple was later renovated by the Malla kings. From Pashupatinath, we will drive for another 10 minutes to reach another heritage site in Kathmandu, Boudhanath.

The place is highly influenced by Tibetan culture and is popular as “A Little Tibet ”. The stupa is one of the most striking landmarks in Kathmandu.

From Boudhanath, we will drive to another oldest heritage site, Swayambhunath. Swayambhunath is 2500 years old and one of the most sacred sites for Buddhists. The temple has a unique feature of Buddha’s eyes and eyebrows painted on it. In the case of clear weather, one can have a magnificent view of the Himalayas.

Our final destination for the day is Kathmandu Durbar Square. It reflects ancient art and architecture, culture and tradition as well as there is an ancient Palace located at the complex of Durbar Square which is called Hanuman Dhoka.

Day 3 : Patan and Bhaktapur sightseeing and drive to Nagarkot.

Early morning after breakfast, we will explore another neighboring city of Kathmandu, Patan.  Driving for 30 minutes takes us to another tourist city Patan,  where you can explore the finest ancient art, architecture, living culture, and tradition since centuries ago. In Patan, you can explore Patan Durbar Square, Krishna Mandir, and other foundations and small temples that reflect ancient art and architecture.

Similarly, you will visit an ancient Royal Palace where the Malla kings of Patan resided. It is one of the UNESCO listed heritage sites in Kathmandu valley. FromPatan Durbar Square we will drive to another neighboring city in the valley Bhaktapur.

Bhaktapur is the smallest district in the valley and a place that is untouched by modernization as you can see people wearing their ancient cultural attires. The culture and heritage in Bhaktapur are well preserved as people still follow the ancient religion, culture, and tradition. We will visit several places in Bhaktapur such as 55-window Palace, Nyatapola, Taleju temple, etc.

Then we will have a typical Newari lunch and after lunch, we will drive from Bhaktapur to  Nagarkot. The distance between Bhaktapur and Nagarkot is 13 km which takes about 40 min of the drive. Furthermore, Enjoying the natural scenario away from the city area we will reach Nagarkot, a hill station in the valley. Overnight at a hotel in Nagarkot.

Day 4 : Sunrise view and hike to the Nagarkot village and back to Kathmandu

Today, we will wake up real early to catch the sunrise view from the viewpoint in Nagarkot. Walking for 10-15 min from the hotel we will reach the viewpoint and witness the stunning sunrise view from Nagarkot.  Nagarkot is the nearest hill station from Kathmandu and an amateur for the spectacular sunrise view.

Nagarkot even offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas including Everest as well as other Himalayan ranges such as Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, Jugal, Mahalangur range, etc. so the sparkling sunrise view at the peak of the Himalayas gives you the most memorable picture for the lifetime.

If you are into nature and natural resources this hill station will be the perfect destination to enjoy your vacation. After the sunrise view, we will have breakfast in the hotel and get ready for the hike to Changunarayan, a Hindu temple of Lord Bishnu.

We will cross some villages and explore the typical village lifestyle of Nepalese people before reaching Changunarayan. The area is highly influenced by the Newar community. So we will witness the local village life, their lifestyle, culture, and tradition of the local community residing around the area. We will then hike to the temple through the Rhododendron forest and rice fields.

Changunarayan is a two-story pagoda-style Hindu temple surrounded by ancient carvings and statues.  Therefore, the tour to Nagarkot takes you to the oldest temple in Bhaktapur district which is listed as a UNESCO cultural heritage site. It’s built top on the high hills which is 7 miles east of Kathmandu. After visiting the temple, we will then drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 5 : Drive/ Fly to Pokhara

Today, we will explore another city rich in natural resources, Pokhara. Pokhara is 200km west of Kathmandu and takes about 7-8 hours of drive from Kathmandu. However,  you can even choose to fly to Pokhara, it will only take 30 min and you can spend the remaining time exploring the city. On the other hand, if you choose to drive, the drive will be a little longer but takes you through the amazing landscapes of Nepal.

Driving by the bank of river Trishuli, enjoying the greenery, hills, forest, crossing the suspension bridge and several villages, we will enter Pokhara valley. Then, we will stop at Begnas Lake and spare some of our time to refresh ourselves after the long and exhausting drive. However, Boating there is optional. Then, we will drive you to the hotel and overnight at Pokhara.

 

Day 6 : Pokhara Sightseeing

Today we will spend the rest of our day in Pokhara. Pokhara is one of the popular destinations for tourism. The city is blessed with major viewpoint sides, natural landscapes, and a stunning view of the Himalayas. So, waking up a little earlier we will drive to Sarangkot, a major viewpoint that lets you explore the stunning views of the Himalayas.

After driving for about half an hour, we will reach the viewpoint in Sarangkot where you will witness the stunning view of mountains such as Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri. Similarly, the view of the sunrise striking over these peaks is a moment to capture for the lifetime of Sarangkot. After spending a couple of hours there, you will drive back to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, we will have a full day sightseeing tour at Pokhara starting with Phewa lake. Boating in Phewa lake takes us to another Hindu temple Tal Barahi. Located in the middle of the Phewa Lake on a small island, Tal Barahi is dedicated to Ajima in the boar manifestation, representative of the force of Shakti. Besides lakes and Himalayas, Pokhara has other things to offer to visitors such as ancient caves and museums.

So, during our visit to Pokhara, we will visit Mahendra cave, Gupteshowr cave, Bat cave, Birendra cave, etc. later, we will visit David’s fall and Seti River Gorge. In the evening, the street of Pokhara is full of concerts and gigs. The nightlife of Pokhara is something to bargain about. So, you can either go for the live music or enjoy the traditional performance in Pokhara at night. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 7 : Pokhara to Bandipur

Early morning after breakfast, we will drive from Pokhara to Bandipur which takes approximately 4 hours of drive. The drive takes you through the wonderful landscapes of Nepal. Bandipur lies on the top of the hill and it is for those who want the best of Nepal. Similarly, you can have a wonder of Nepal as there are attractive temples, traditional Newari style houses, customs, and local life of rural Nepal.

It is surrounded by beautiful Jungles with traditional houses. Likewise, the house of the Bandipur and its surrounding area gives you the vibes of Local Nepal. One can have a panoramic view of the snow-capped peaks. Therefore, this is the perfect destination to explore the village life with a suspension bridge, rice field, and a visit to traditional local places untouched by modernization.

Day 8 : Bandipur to Kathmandu

Today early in the morning, we will visit the local village in Bandipur which is highly influenced by typical Newari culture. We will view nature at its best, and the most heavenly sight of sunrise view that gives you the memory for a lifetime. Similarly, after our short sightseeing in Bandipur, we will drive back to Kathmandu.

The distance from Bandipur and Kathmandu is around 150km which takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes drive. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will spend some time strolling around the city in Kathmandu city. Then later in the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at some typical Nepalese restaurants. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 9 : Departure

Today you will bid farewell to the country. Early morning depending upon your flight time, you can either shop or prepare for your departure. Our representative will pick you up from the designated place and transfer you to the airport to board on flight for your onward destination.
