“Discover the Annapurna Base Camp trek—a breathtaking journey through Nepal’s untouched wilderness and cultural heartlands!”

For adventure enthusiasts who are attracted to the raw beauty of the Himalayas, the trek to Annapurna Base Camp can provide an adventurous experience like no other. The trek to Annapurna Base Camp is perhaps the best and most popular trek in Nepal. The journey normally begins in Pokhara, widely known as the ‘Lake City,’ and progresses upwards through all-natural terrains and a diverse variety of flora and fauna.

The journey offers breathtaking mountain vistas that are among the best in the region, offering trekkers a deep dive into Nepal’s varied landscapes and terrains. Along the journey, you can get closer views of numerous peaks such as Fishtail, Hiunchuli, Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho, Pisang, Pungda Danda, and more. As you trek towards ABC, be ready to come across lush forests and charming Gurung and Magar villages surrounded by the Annapurna Range.

The trail to Annapurna Base Camp follows the Modi River, passing through lush rhododendrons and bamboo. As you get closer to the large Hinku Cave, the plants start to thin out, and the gorge becomes much narrower. Tall, snow-covered ridges from Hiunchuli on the left and Machhapuchhre on the right stand like a majestic gateway to the Sanctuary.

Along the way, we will enjoy a natural hot spring in Jhinu Dada, a unique dance show, and the hospitality of the Gurung community. Not to forget about the breathtaking sunrise view from Poonhill.

The route for Annapurna Base Camp we will follow is Pokhara (850 meters)—Nayapul, TikheDhunga (1495 meters)—Ghorepani (2850 meters)—Poonhill (3210 meters)—Tadapani (2520 meters)—Chhomrong (2170 meters)—Dovan (2630 meters)—Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3820 meters)—Jhinu Danda via Chhomrong—Nayapul—Pokhara.

The ABC trek is moderately difficult compared to the Everest Base Camp trek. You will be accompanied by our experienced guide, who will be there to help you. This amazing trek to ABC provides you with a chance to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility and solitude of the Himalayas without intensive technical climbing.

While the trek typically starts and ends in Pokhara, it’s versatile enough to be part of a longer journey, like the Annapurna Circuit or the Jomsom/Muktinath trek. You can extend your exploration by heading from Tatopani through Ghorepani and Tadapani, eventually linking up with the main trail at Chomrong that leads directly into the sanctuary’s heart.
