Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

You will land in a small landlocked country, Nepal in Southern Asia enjoying the scenic flight all the way to the Capital city, Kathmandu. Our representative will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu. You can have a glimpse of the city life of Nepal on your way to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, we will introduce you to your guides and they will give you a short briefing about the tour. However, you can stroll around the city in the evening. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing

Early morning after breakfast gathers your energy for the whole day exploring Kathmandu. Today we will explore several historical sites that are listed on the UNESCO world heritage list in Kathmandu. 4 out of 10 UNESCO heritage sites lie inside the capital city Kathmandu. So, we will explore this famous place and we will start our sightseeing with Pashupatinath, the holy temple for Hinduism where Lord Shiva is worshipped. The temples reflect the art and architecture as well as the culture and tradition of Nepalese people. From Pashupatinath, we will then drive to another shrine in Kathmandu, Boudhanath. Boudhanath is about 11km from the central and northeastern edges of Kathmandu which is about 10 minutes drive from Pashupatinath. Boudhanath stupa is one of the most striking landmarks in Kathmandu that reflects the Tibetan culture. It is popular as “A Little Tibet” because this place is highly influenced by Tibetan culture. From Boudhanath, we will drive for half an hour and reach Swayambhunath, another sacred site for Buddhism. It is the oldest heritage of Kathmandu which is probably 2500 years old. Moreover, it is one of the heritage-listed in the UNESCO world heritage list. The stupas have unique features with a variety of shrines, temples, and Buddha’s eyes and eyebrows painted on it. Finally, last but not least we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. Located at the heart of Kathmandu, it is surrounded by various fountains, ancient statues, small ponds, series of the courtyard and small temples. Besides, there is the Old Royal place inside the complex of Durbar Square which used to be the house of ancient kings. Kathmandu Durbar Square has a lively environment during the evening. So, you can spend as much of your time on this heritage site

Day 3 Drive to Dhulikhel

Early morning after breakfast we will drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel via Araniko Highway. The distance from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel is 32km which takes about an hour drive. Located at the eastern rim of the valley, Dhulikhel is 1550m above sea level. Upon reaching Dhulikhel, we will explore several tourist places in Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is the place that offers you stunning views of the Himalayas, beautiful landscapes, green jungle, rural area with the typical lifestyle of the people living around there. On the other hand, the great Himalayan views include the view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Rolwaling Himalayan range. It is 30 km far from Kathmandu with the best view of stunning landscapes, a different Hindu temple, and local Newari tradition. Overnight at Dhulikhel.

Day 4 Dhulikhel to Balthali Village via Namo Buddha

Today we will hike from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha for about three hours. The hike passes through small farming villages, lush green forests, ancient temples as well as you can experience the lifestyle of local people. Namo Buddha is one of the sacred sites for Buddhist situated on the hill above Panauti. The stupa is dedicated to Lord Buddha and you can visit another stupa nearby. After that, you can either hike for another three hours or drive to reach Balthali Village. Balthali village is the nearest tourism destination from Kathmandu offering stunning views of the great Himalayas as well as the natural landscapes. Stay Overnight at a village in Balthali

Day 5 Full day Balthali Village Tour

Today after breakfast we will have a full day exploration at a village in Balthali. There are several places to visit in Balthali such as Tamang Village, Dada Gaun, and visit small Buddhist monasteries. Similarly, the village lets you explore the Buddhist community, their culture, and lifestyle. In Dada Gaun, you will find a quiet secluded place from the modern world where people and animals live together. Besides,  we will walk to Pada Gaun, from where one can have a stunning view of the whole northern Himalayan range and beautiful green forest. Later after lunch, we will have a short walk along the Karnali river and follow the banks of the Ladku River. Overnight at Balthali Village.

Day 6 Balthali to Panauti and drive to Kathmandu

Early morning after breakfast, we will take a leisurely walk to Panauti, a thriving Newari village. Panauti is one of the oldest towns in Nepal offering a glimpse of typical Nepalese lifestyle and culture to the visitors. It is located at the sacred confluence of Bungamati and Roshi river. Panauti was once a trading capital during the Rana regime but now you feel a twinge of melancholy, for while there are some wonderful sights with Newari customs and tradition. Likewise, we will get opportunities to visit some of the ancient temples and interesting old houses with some 14th-century wooden temple struts. Then we will drive from Panauti to Kathmandu after lunch. However, upon reaching Kathmandu we will have a farewell dinner at some Typical Nepalese restaurants. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 7 Final Departure

Our last day in the capital city. Early morning, after breakfast, depending upon your flight time one can either go for the visit to Thamel or any other place of their interest. Our representative will pick you up from the place of your visit and transfer you to the Airport to board a flight for the onward destination.
