Overview
Gosaikunda is an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in the Langtang region at an elevation of 4380m in Rasuwa district Nepal. The trek to the sacred lake Gosaikunda is among the most spectacular sites near Kathmandu. The trek to Gosaikunda is all about the magnificent blue lake Gosaikunda which is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. In addition, there are many other lakes near the basin such as Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Surya Kunda. Besides, you will pass through the Langtang region which is extremely beautiful as well as culturally rich. People from the Tamang community reside here who are highly influenced by Tibetian culture. The trek to this holiest place starts with the drive from Kathmandu to Dunche, from where the actual hike starts. The 6-7 hr along the north-western hills of Kathmandu will offer you stunning views of the snow-capped mountains such as Mt. Annapurna II, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and other minor peaks along the way. Besides, we will enjoy the scenario of a lush green valley, green landscapes of a hillock, rivers, and the village. From Dunche we will trek to Sing Gompa, passes through Laura Binayak, and reach all the way to our final destination Gosaikunda. Likewise, the trek offers us wonderful panoramic views of the natural landscapes along with the snow-capped peaks. Similarly, the trail includes a lush green forest of fir, rhododendron, and pine along with the plentiful flora and fauna.

Tour Plan
Enjoying the views over the valley, the Himalayas and the terraced below you will land at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our representative will greet you and pick you up from the Airport Terminal and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu. We will then introduce you to your Guides and they will give you a short briefing about the tour. After that, you can head out and explore the city. Kathmandu Durbar Square is a great place to start your exploration as it is in the heart of the city. It is surrounded by various fountains, small ponds, and ancient temples. You can visit the Royal Palace Hanuman Dhoka inside the complex of Durbar square. If you still have free time, then you can visit the oldest Stupa Swyambhunath, from where you can catch the view of the entire Kathmandu valley.
Later, in the evening, stroll around the tourist hub Thamel and grab a very first meal in Nepal. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Waking up early in the morning we will drive from Kathmandu to the mountain town of Dunche. We will drive for around 6-7 hr along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. The road will be pitched and smooth up to Trishuli but after that, the roads turn to the gravel one. The drive offers us stunning views of the snow-capped mountains like Mt. Annapurna II, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and other minor peaks along the way. Besides we will enjoy the scenario of lush green valley, green landscapes of a hillock, rivers, and the villages that come along the way. At the entrance of the Langtang National Park, your guide will show the permit and from there we will drive for an hour before reaching Dunche. Overnight at Dhunche.
From Dunche, we will trek to Sing Gompa Today. The walk will be 5-6 hours long including the stops. Early morning after breakfast at Dunche we will walk along with the breathtaking views of the Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetian Mountain. Then the trail continues steeply through the forests of oak and hemlock and less steeply through the forest of Rhododendron. similarly, you will be blessed with the exceptional sunrise view over the Ganesh Himal. We will be leaving the silent moss-covered forests and ascends higher. Then the path gently ascends for the while and reaches through a flat standard to the Sing Gompa. You can explore the cheese factory and some of the Buddhist monasteries here. Sing Gompa provides you with the best panoramic view of exhilarating nature. In the evening you can either stroll around the village or rest for the next trek tomorrow.
Today you will trek from Sing Gompa to our destination, Gosaikunda lake. we will walk through high altitude today so it is better to keep the trek short and easy. You will follow the rugged trail and steep climb up a ridge that marks a transition zone between rich, moist mountain forest and dry scrub vegetation on the slopes. However, the slope is the conservation area for the red pandas. From there, one can have a magnificent view of the Ganesh Himal. Climbing up to 3 hours takes us to Lauri Binayak where we will have our lunch. You can stop around for some time and explore the place. After that, following the rough trail, we will again continue our Journey. On the way, one can stop and explore the dramatic view to the west of Mount Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range along with the Tibetian peaks.
From here, we will ascend up for the Gosaikunda lake as the trail climbs up to the alpine country above the treeline. We will get the first view of the Gosaikunda lake after crossing the small ridge. Besides, there are many other lakes near the basin such as Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Surya Kunda. The holy Lake Gosaikunda is right in front of our eyes. The locals believe that the lake was created by Lord Shiva. Mostly, Hindu pilgrims visit this lake during the full- moon festival every August. They bathe here and worship Lord Shiva. Overnight at Gosaikunda.
Today early in the morning, you can visit the holy lake Gosaikunda once again. The view of the entire lake in the morning is breathtaking. The clouds, the fog, the rocks, and the intensely blue lake of the color give you another sort of satisfaction. After that, we will have breakfast at the holiest lake before heading down to Dunche. The trail descends down all the way to Sing Gompa passing through Lauri Binayak. Again even on your descend, you will witness the panoramic mountain view as well as the landscapes. Similarly, you will stop at Sing Gompa and have lunch. Gather all the energy to descend down to Dunche and start walking. The trails descend down through pina, silver oak, and Rhododendron forest. Then you will cross the suspension bridge over the Sing Gompa stream and the path stretches at the flat-level from here onwards.
Walking the plain path you will come across the mountain mineral water factory and passes through human settlement. Then you will reach Dunche and stay overnight at some hotel or lodges in Dunche.
Today we will be driving back to Kathmandu. Early morning after breakfast we will drive through a road passing through terraces, streams, rivers, and high hills. We will explore some human settlement areas. Similarly, you can stop on the way to take photographs. We will be driving by the bank of the river Trishuli. The drive takes about 6-7 hours depending upon the traffic. We will stop at some restaurants for the lunch and again continue to drive to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu we will join a farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu. In the evening, you can explore the city of Kathmandu or stroll around the famous tourist hub at Thamel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Early morning, after breakfast depending upon your flight time, you can either prepare for the departure or go shopping or do anything you are interested in at Kathmandu. After that, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to the airport to board on flight for the onwards destination.
