Spring which starts off from March to May, is the best time for EBC among trekkers. This is the time when the weather is on your side too. It will bring in stable weather conditions. This makes it conducive for comfortable hiking days. Plus, the mountain views? Absolutely beautiful.

Autumn is also another best time which starts around the month of September to November. It is the other golden period for trekkers. After the monsoon rains wash the air clean, you will have the best of clear skies. This means those perfect views of Everest are yours to enjoy!

Weather and Temperature

The weather in the Everest region can be pretty unpredictable. It varies a lot depending on how high up you go and the time of year. Down at the lower altitudes, it is not too bad. The daytime temperatures usually sits between 10°C and 20°C (50°F to 68°F). This temperature is pretty comfortable for trekking. But as you climb higher, things will start to get colder. It is especially cold at night. By the time you reach Everest Base Camp, it can drop to a bone-chilling of about -20°C (-4°F) or even lower.
